part 1 of a 3 part series
Folks who live in the North as I do are very familiar with the term winterizing, but I had to check references (ok I Googled) to see whether winterizing had another antonym besides de-winterizing. Yep. It turns out summerizing, (not to be confused with summarizing), is indeed a real word. In fact, boaters often use the word summerizing to mean getting their boats ready for summer. (I’m sure the fishermen on Fully Threaded Radio could shed some light on what that entails.) Anyway… were you aware that, in Asia, businesses need to be summerized? Oppressive heat from the summer sun can wreak havoc on fastener manufacturers in Asia if they are not properly prepared. This brings us to topic number one in our three part series: Blackouts. (…)
