According to incomplete statistics, the demand for steel in domestic fasteners exceeded seven million tons in 2010. With the high-end products’ development, the demand for alloy cold heading steel will be further expanded in the application of domestic high-end fasteners. In recent two years, some domestic steel factories is aware of adjusting product structure, decreasing the output of low-end carbon cold heading steel, and positively exploiting high-end alloy wire. However, quality insufficiency still exists in the middle and high-end cold heading steel products due to the limited production technology of domestic steel factories.
