In 2011, bolt tightening specialists, Tentec Ltd received and delivered an order for what was believed to be the largest hydraulic nuts ever manufactured. The contract, to supply 4 massive hydraulic nuts for a major forging press refurbishment project in the USA, was completed and delivered on time and on budget. The quality of the work carried out by Tentec’s innovative in-house design and production team in its advanced UK manufacturing facility has resulted in a repeat order for the same company. The hydraulic nuts required for the forging press had 25” Buttress thread forms and each hydraulic nut weighed 4 tonnes with an 8000 tonne bolt load capacity. (…)
