DETROIT — ARaymond, a Grenoble, France, supplier of fastening and fluid-handling connection systems, is expanding in the United States to meet demand for connectors to handle fluids such as battery coolant for electric vehicles and urea for diesel engines.

The company’s Rayconnect division — which makes fluid connectors known generically as “quick connects” for light vehicles, heavy trucks, RVs and off-road vehicles — added a $12 million, 30,000-square-foot expansion to its 75,000-square-foot plant in Rochester
