The Department of Energy has awarded ARaymond Tinnerman $1.67 million to develop a commercial building rooftop bracket system.
Rochester Hills, Michigan, September 26, 2001 – A Raymond Tinnerman has been awarded $1.67 million from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) though the SunShot Initiative. Overall the Initiative has awarded $145 million for 69 projects throughout 24 states for research and innovation in solar technology. The funding is part of the DOE’s SunShot Initiative, created with the goal that by the end of the decade the costs of photovoltaic (PV) systems will be cut by 75%.
By investing in these 69 projects, the DOE is anticipating continued and expanded development and improvement of the processes, materials, and supply chains for PV systems and additional components of solar systems. […]
