Bossard Group, Zug, Switzerland, reported sales of CHF 311.5 million (US$328.6 million) in the first six months of the 2013 business year, an increase of 23.9 percent. In local currencies, sales increased 22.7 percent. Profit for the first six months was CHF 28.6 million (US$30.2 million), an increase of 29 percent. Bossard is No. 40 on MDM’s list of top industrial distributors.
In Europe, sales increased 43.8 percent to CHF 195.5 million (US$206.2 million) compared to the same period a year earlier. The jump was primarily due to the acquisition of the KVT-Fastening business in the final quarter of the 2012 business year. (…)
