Cardinal Fastener, opened in 1983 and acquired by the Wurth Group in 2011 will be closing the plant and transferring the equipment to Dokka Fasteners, Inc. located in Auburn Hills, MI. Dokka Fasteners Inc. is part of the Wurth Hot Forging Group. The transition is anticipated to be complete within 90-120 days. “The decision to close the Cardinal Fastener operation was difficult after being in business over thirty years. Unfortunately, having two separate plants with similar capabilities located so close together became increasingly difficult to justify. We appreciate the support of our customers and plan on supporting their needs again after the equipment has been installed and commissioned at the Dokka Fasteners operation. (…)
