Law360, New York (September 9, 2015, 2:03 PM ET) — The European Union on Wednesday appealed last month’s World Trade Organization ruling that faulted the 28-nation bloc for conducting an unfair anti-dumping duty investigation of Chinese screws, bolts and other fasteners.
Although the specifics of the EU’s appeal won’t be available for several days, a spokesman for the European Commission made clear that the mixed decision handed down by the WTO compliance panel on Aug. 7 contained too many adverse prongs to go unchallenged in Brussels.
