Tightening the joint with new types of fasteners is on the radar for wood manufacturers. The new breed of hardware requiring unique machining of panel and solid wood is shaping up to be a top joinery story for IWF 2016 next month.Notably several companies entered new fastener technology in the IWF 2016 Challengers Award recognition program. One, FastenLink, has made it to finalist status, and will compete with 21 others for a top spot on August 24 when the seven winners are announce. FastenLink was developed by Phill Crabtree, who originated the Cabinotch snap-together cabinetry system. (…)
