Fastener Fair Russia goes to Moscow next year – Show dates: 14 – 16 May 2014

Launched as part of the series of the internationally renowned ‘Fastener Fair’ brand, the first edition of Fastener Fair Russia, Exhibition for the Fastener and Fixing Industry, proved a big success. From 12-14 March 2013 a total of 2,693 visitors came to the Lenexpo Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg to meet with industry experts and discover a comprehensive range of industrial fasteners, construction fixings, assembly and installation systems as well as manufacturing technology.
On a net exhibition space of 1,500m2 a total of 109 exhibitors from 23 countries presented their products and services to a highly specialised audience of distributors, engineers and industry professionals. In the exhibition survey the launch event was praised as a professional and worthwhile trade fair. The show received very good marks for the quality of its visitors and for the organisation and overall impression of the event.
Based on this positive feedback from both visitors and exhibitors, organisers Restec-Brooks have announced that the next Fastener Fair Russia will be held next year, from 14 – 16 May 2014, in the VVC All-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow.

For international companies in the fastener and fixing industry Russia is seen as a major global growth market. As a result of several infrastructure projects such as the high-speed railway track from Moscow to St. Petersburg, the country offers a prosperous business environment, especially in the wake of Russia hosting the 2014 Winter Olympic Games and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
It is no wonder that 58% of the exhibitors at Fastener Fair 2013 came from outside Russia, mainly from Italy, China, Germany, Taiwan, Spain, Turkey, Poland and India. The remaining 42% of exhibitors were Russian companies or local agencies of international fastener manufacturers and providers.
The majority of visitors came from Russia (93%); they were mainly distributors / suppliers to end-users (36%), wholesalers / suppliers to resellers (28%), end-users (21%) or fastener and fixings manufacturers (12%). Key industry sectors the visitors belonged to were mechanical engineering, construction, the automotive industry, furniture manufacturing, heating/ventilation/air conditioning, shipbuilding, aerospace and electrical products / domestic appliances. The exhibition attracted fastener and fixings specialists at all levels, with a majority having purchasing responsibility (20%), manufacturing responsibility (18%), managerial responsibility (18%) or being responsible for maintenance and repair (10%) and for warehousing, material management and logistics (7%).
Participants at Fastener Fair Russia 2013 were highly satisfied, particularly with the comprehensive range of products on display and with the professional flavour of the show.
