The press conference for the 2nd edition of Fastener Fair Thailand was held at the Landmark Hotel, Bangkok and was supported by the Thai Autoparts Manufacturers Association and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. After a very successful 1st edition that saw over 3000 industry professionals attending the show, the numbers for Fastener Fair Thailand 2013 are expected to grow and continue its success as the ideal show for anyone using fasteners or operating in the fastener industry. Fastener Fair Thailand 2013 will take place at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 9 – 11 October.

Guest speaker Khun Achana Limpaitoon, president of Thai Autoparts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA) stated that “In 2012, due to the government tax rebate scheme for first time car buyers saw an increase in automobile products and subsequently an increase in the demand for automotive fasteners”.

She added that “TAPMA, the union representing autoparts manufacturing companies from the private sector, will support Fastener Fair Thailand 2013 as it’s a show that supports and will help develop the Thai fastener and fixing sector, which includes autoparts manufacturers, as well as increase Thailand’s competitive edge in the fastener manufacturing industry.

Also guest speaker Khun Salanroj Sutaschuto, Director of Administrative Department of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) said “TCEB’s mission is to promote meetings, incentive travel, conventions and exhibitions, known by the acronym MICE, in order to make Thailand a regional hub for international MICE events. By supporting Fastener Fair Thailand for the second year, with the marketing campaign 100 A- Head to draw visitors from the ASEAN plus six countries and the BE My Guest program providing accommodation for VIP buyers. We believe that it will reinforce Thailand’s potential in the fastener and fixing production especially for the automotive, construction and electronics industry and also increase trade business both domestic and international”.

Finally Mr Michael Wilton, Exhibitions Director from Mack Brooks Exhibitions, the organiser of Fastener Fair Thailand 2013 said “Fastener Fair Thailand 2012 saw over 3000 industry professionals attending the show from Thailand and SE Asia in addition to countries such as China, Taiwan, Netherlands, Italy and many more. The success of the show in 2012 was due to the growth of heavy fastener using markets in Thailand such as automotive, electronics, white goods construction, transport and infrastructure. Fastener Fair Thailand 2013 will again provide ample opportunities to establish new and successful business contacts in Thailand and the ASEAN region.”
