Fastener Fair Turkey, the dedicated exhibition for fastener and fixing technology, will take place at the IFM Istanbul Expo Centre, Istanbul from 21 – 22 November 2013.
Strategically positioned at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Turkey not only has an advanced domestic fastener industry, it also possesses unique growth opportunities as a technology and supply hub for surrounding markets. All of which makes its cosmopolitan city, Istanbul, uniquely suited to host the only dedicated fastener and fixing exhibition in the region during 2013.
Turkey has demonstrated stable economic growth over the last decade, achieving better than 5% average real GDP growth. For the coming five years the OECD projects Turkey to be the fastest emerging economy amongst its members. Europe’s largest bus and third largest light commercial vehicle manufacturer, Turkey also has a strongly developing car production industry, with fifteen domestic and foreign automotive manufacturers. Turkey is also one of Europe’s leading home appliance manufacturers and the largest television producer in Europe. Factor in its role as furniture production hub for the Middle East, involving some 30,000 companies, and strongly developed machinery, marine and petrochemical sectors and it is easy to see why Turkey supports an extensive fastener manufacturing and distribution community. In the decade to come preparations for the centenary of the Republic of Turkey, involving major programs of public investment and incentives for infrastructure, construction and energy efficiency projects, will further drive growth in an already vibrant fastener and fixings sector.
The exhibition will present the latest industrial fastener and construction fixing solutions, together with assembly and installation systems, fastener manufacturing technologies, and the wide range of support services that underpin the modern fastener supply industry.
