TOKYO — YKK announced plans Monday to double fastener production in Vietnam by fiscal 2017, anticipating an increase in sewing demand as free trade agreements come into effect there.
The Japanese company will invest $88 million to construct a production wing at an existing plant in Nhon Trach in the southern part of the country. The new facility will produce fasteners for casual clothing and sports apparel.(…)
