This industrial plant, announced in April, will be the first of Italian company in Latin America, and it will produce fasteners for the automotive industry
Headquartered in Fontana Luigi, Italy 62 years ago, the Fontana Group is a most important global fastener maker in the manufacture of fasteners. It employs approximately 2,500 people in 12 plants located in Italy, one in the United States and one in France. Together, they produce 200 thousand tons of fasteners per year.
Since last April, the group informed that it will build its first industrial plant, located in Mogi Guaçu city with 170 km distance from São Paulo capital where it will produce high-strength fasteners for the automotive industry, and auto parts.
According to a statement issued by the SP Invest, the Press-Office, the initial investment will be more than US$ 15 million, reaching US$ 45 million in the next five years.  The place area is about 160,000 square meters, in which there will be 12,000 square meters of covered area, and 15,000 square meters uncovered.
