Growth forecasts set scene for Milan fasteners show

Forecasts of market growth are providing an optimistic backdrop for this year’s Fastener Fair Italy in Milan.

Worldwide demand for industrial fasteners is forecast to climb 5.4% annually through to 2018, boosted by the rapid growth in the Internet of Things, which is expected to see an increase from 6.6 billion connected devices in 2015 to 50 billion by 2020, and by moves towards Industry 4.0 – the industrial application of digital technologies. Forecasts put the value of the fasteners market at US$124 billion (€103.2 billion) by 2023.

Industry perceptions of good future business prospects are believed to be among a number of factors contributing to strong demand for stands at the show, which takes place at MiCo – Milano Congressi from 28-29 September 2016.
