As a leading company in China`s steel industry, Baosteel increased its steel price for Feb. again. It released a document days ago that the Feb. price would be increased on the basis of Jan. price. The products concerned include thick plates, hot rolled, and so on, with the increasing margin up by RMB$100-300 per ton. Baosteel is always the important price parameter of steel products in China. The price increase for Feb. this time also forced the other steel plants in China like Shagang Group to adjust their prices upward.
