Andrews Fasteners Ltd had specialised in supplying fasteners such as screws, bolts and fabricated metal products to construction companies since 1906 and had become one of the best known brands in the marketplace.
Bolts supplied by the business were used on major developments in the UK, including the Cheesegrater, although this project led to national headlines as three large bolts subsequently fell from Britain’s fourth tallest building after a process called hydrogen embrittlement caused them to fracture.(…)
