Boeing’s 2009 decision to build a Dreamliner plant outside of Washington state elicited anger and doubt from many about whether a South Carolina workforce could build airplanes.
Boeing South Carolina is now piloting technologies that, if successful, will be rolled out at other Boeing facilities. They will be vetted processes that speed production time.
