KENTWOOD, MI – A Kentwood business that supplies the screws to companies that make the parts for the Detroit Three is finally feeling the benefit of the auto industry’s turnaround.
Sales are going so well that Select Fasteners Fast will celebrate 25 years in business by donating a quarter of September’s profits to Kids’ Food Basket.
That will result in a $3,000 donation for the Grand Rapids nonprofit that provides sack suppers to 4,800 Grand Rapids kids daily.
Owner Kyle Hanson says he’s glad to see the business started by his mother, Fran Andersen, and partner Mel Nelsen, growing again. (…)
