On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Band of the Hilti Company located in Schaan/FL, Kees Vlak was commissioned to dress the history of the company into a musical fairy-tale. It is the story of the incomparable Hilti nail.
To execute this attractive commission, namely depicting the technical triumph of the Hilti direct assembly into comprehensible music, the composer chose five impressive pictures:
In the first picture rhythmic patterns of the percussion symbolize the idea of a revolutionary technique.
The result of this idea was the production of the so-called Hilti nail. It is portrayed by a climactic anvil solo in the second picture. (…)
