Successful three-day “Fastener Fair Brasil” sets the course for sequel in November 2016
The third “Fastener Fair Brasil”, held from 11-13 November 2014 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paolo, attracted 1,520 visitors and 80 exhibiting companies. The exhibition is Brazil’s meeting place for distributors, fastener traders and other professionals from the global fastener and fixing industry. Responding to industry feedback, the new three-day concept proved to be a great success in allowing more time for new business opportunities and thorough product, services and industry exchange. Accompanying seminars scientifically rooted the show and delivered highly focused technology insights. Both exhibitors and visitors were greatly satisfied with the exhibition. Show organiser Mack Brooks Exhibitions has announced the next event will be held in November 2016 at the same venue.
Exhibitors showcased a comprehensive range of industrial fasteners and fixings, construction fixings, assembly and installation systems,fastener manufacturing technology, storage and factory equipment as well as all associated services. Visitors at Fastener Fair Brasil were distributors, wholesalers, traders, importers, manufacturers, suppliers and engineers, with the addition of selected end-users from the construction, automotive and aerospace industry sectors. They experienced the latest products and services, renewed business contacts and built international trade networks.
High-quality industry contacts and business opportunities
The additional third day paid off and enabled exhibitors and visitors to maintain client relationships, establish new ones and trade efficaciously, with significant business outcome already on-site. The feedback revealed a high satisfaction with the quality of visitors being mainly decision-makers, namely owners, directors and buyers: “All three days were great! We had hundreds of visitors to our booth and gained many fantastic contacts. Seminars and panel discussions on innovative fastener and fixing technologies
A comprehensive events programme supported the fair, consisting of seminars and panel discussions, a free daily Technical Symposium and a business roundtable. Attendees witnessed and discussed technical innovations and industry trends. Moreover, the programme stimulated close bonds between trade industry and technology research and development.
The Technical Symposium featured 14 technical experts from Brazil as well as renowned international suppliers. Throughout the duration of the exhibition, these industry leaders gave insights into the latest findings in fastener and fixing technology and promoted and debated the results of their studies and research programmes. Dr. Martin Welp, CEO of Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co.KG, gave a lecture on ‘Microlayer Corrosion-Protection Systems’ and Dirley Ottoni, Engineer, Peugeot Citroën do Brasil Automóveis Ltda, presented ‘Tightening Strategies’. Among the speakers was also Hilário Vassoler, General Director of FOSFER/Metalfast, who appreciated the integrated programme as an enrichment in outcome for their company: “The demandwe receivedfor our services was aboveour expectations. The three day show was great and also the symposiumwithrelevant presentations tothe sector. We presented acontroversialthesis thatrequirestechnicalknowledge in allphasesof the process. New marketsand contactswere exploredwithin the fair. We already haveseveralappointmentsto develop newbusiness.”
The Business Roundtable hosted by The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of MERCOSUL and the Americaswas once again welcomed by buyers and suppliers. The Roundtable featured face-to-face private business meetings to debate new products and technologies and encouraged business growth, interaction and partnership.
