MADISON — A metro-east screw and bolt manufacturing company is literally holding up multi-billion dollar projects throughout the nation.St. Louis Screw and Bolt manufactured four million steel bolts to help fasten together the new lanes being added to the Huey P. Long Bridge in New Orleans. The company has provided bolts and fasteners for the new Intel corporate offices being built in Chandler, Ariz., as well as the new World Trade Center museum and Freedom Tower being built at the site of the former World Trade Center that terrorists attacked and destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001, in New York City.
Closer to home, the manufacturer has provided bolts for the power plant under construction at the Prairie State Energy Campus in rural Washington County.[…]
