GWW plans to acquire a privately owned distributor of fasteners and tools in the Netherlands for about $344 million, giving Grainger a conduit for expansion into Central and Eastern Europe.Fabory Group distributes more than 80,000 products in 14 countries, with more than two-thirds of its sales concentrated in the Netherlands and Belgium. Fabory had 2010 sales of about $300 million, or EUR211 million. The company has been aggressively expanding throughout Central and Eastern Europe in recent years.
