China Steel Corp(CSC), one of the major carbon steel wire rod maker in Taiwan, announced to hold its wire rod price unchanged. According to understanding, the import sources are NT$5,000-6,000/ton, which is than Taiwan origin. However, downstream customers think the price gap is unreasonable and the actual price gap should be in the range of NT$3,000/ton. Therefore, downstream customer suggest CSC to cut the price further. Due to the weak demand and high stock, it is sure that CSC will drop the price. But downstream customer didn’t have high anticipation for the new price.
