A Brussels-based correspondent for Bloomberg reported that Monday 18th July the European Council approved the European Commission’s proposal to apply 85% anti dumping duties on imports of defined steel fasteners from Malaysia, except from eight exempted exporters, Fastener+Fixing reported.
The Council Regulation bringing the duties into force is expected to be formally published in the EU Official Journal on 26 July, making it effective just before the nine month deadline set for circumvention investigations to publish decisions.
