2010-12-22 – Acument Global Technologies Inc., a maker of fasteners for a variety of industries such as aerospace, defense and automotive, has moved its corporate headquarters to its Sterling Heights manufacturing plant.
The $1.92 million project includes the relocation of 30 corporate employees, an 11,000-square-foot expansion for additional manufacturing, and new machinery and equipment. Acument currently employs 145 employees in its 112,000-square-foot plant on 18 Mile Road.
Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Platinum Equities, a company that specializes in mergers and acquisitions, purchased Acument in 2006. The Sterling Heights facility is the largest plant in the company’s inventory.
