I use “to-do lists” every day, be it for a morning project, an all-day long project, for projects within the next two weeks, this month or the current quarter. I have many timelines and deadlines to meet while developing the design and plan for editorial and advertisements in the American Fastener Journal. I do a lot of planning and set a variety of goals for the future…be they intentions or resolutions.

A lot of people and companies have historically written Resolutions at this time every year and never think about Intentions. Because they are different, this year I thought I would write about both of them; Intentions and/or Resolutions for the Fastener Industry and for the fun of it.

#1. Fastener Training: If you are the owner or the one who can make the decision about making the investment in fastener training for your personal, don’t delay. Fastener training with the Fastener Training Institute (FTI) might very well be the best investment with the greatest return of any investment you will make all year long. Training is great for employee retention!

#2. Get to know your customers: I mean to really get to know your customers! Don’t ever think you will continue to keep “getting the business”; you have to always be working to earn ones business. Learn and figure out, how best you can service each and every customer.
