Birmingham-based manufacturer Baker & Finnemore has been snapped up by German company Titgemeyer, which has a base in Tipton.
The transaction services team in the Birmingham office of accountancy firm and business adviser BDO provided financial and taxation due diligence services for the acquisition.
Titgemeyer Group develops, designs and manufactures fastening technology and commercial vehicle components.
The acquisition of Baker & Finnemore, which was established in 1850 and is located in the city’s Jewellery Quarter, will enable the Titgemeyer to increase its presence in the UK and reflects vertical integration up the critical supply chain, the group said.
Baker & Finnemore, which is known as Bak Fin, originally made dip-type fountain pen nibs. Today it manufactures the Starlock push-on fastener. (…)
