In a detailed 55-page metallurgical testing and fracture analysis report conducted by leading industry experts and commissioned by Oakland Bay Bridge engineering firm, Caltrans, and general contractor, American Bridge/Fluor, anchor rods manufactured by The Dyson Corp were determined not to be defective.
The report stated that “the steel rods comply with the basic mechanical and chemical requirements of ASTM A354 grade BD.” (…)
