Manufacturing Rebound
Who says that we can’t make stuff in the USA. Idiots, that’s who. There are many indicators pointing to a continued and resilient rebound in American manufacturing including the following:
• Forbes.com carries an article titled, Heavy Metal Is Back. It cites a huge upswing in domestic manufacturing while presenting Houston, Milwaukee, Seattle, San Antonio and Virginia Beach as some of the top USA cities for making things.
• The upcoming NPE trade show in Orlando, FL, USA, for plastics processing, is currently using the following attendee promotion: Experience The Return Of The Machines!
• In a recent survey of manufacturing executives, 85% of the respondents envision some operations moving back to the USA (reshoring) for various reasons including costs, political issues, QC concerns and an overseas skills shortage. (…)
