Carlo Salvi SpA specializes in 2- die, 4-blow headers for wire diameters from 1.2 to 10mm which are used to manufacture parts with complex shapes and particularly those with large volume heads. In many cases, these parts require a third blow and these machines have an advantage in that the third blow might be used as an “introduction punch” if parts with large heads and short shanks have to be transferred. Examples of parts ideally suited for this type of machine include allen screws, parts with trimmed heads, shouldered solid and semitubular rivets, tubular rivets, electrical plug prongs and furniture fasteners.
