After a successful launch in 2012, Fastener Fair Hannover will take place for the second time from 8th – 10th April 2014 at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds. The International Exhibition for Fastener and Fixing Technology provides a platform for exchanges between experts and a source of information for future industry trends. The show attracts distributors, wholesalers, suppliers, engineers, component buyers as well as end users from many industry sectors. A total of 233 exhibitors from 29 countries showcase a broad range of industrial fasteners and fixings, construction fixings, assembly and installation systems, fastener manufacturing technology and solutions for storage and logistics. Comparable to the previous event, this year’s edition of the Fastener Fair Hannover again records a high international participation rate. Alongside the numerous European exhibiting companies mainly from Germany, Italy and Turkey, many Asian companies are also represented. The previous event welcomed a total of 4,500 visitors from 75 countries, of which almost half were from outside Germany. “Fastener Fair Hannover is extremely important as an international networking and business platform for the fastener and fixing industry, particularly in light of the fact that by mid-2013, the growth of the fastener and fixing industry was still affected by the economic situation in southern Europe and by a strong price pressure throughout the whole of Europe. The economic situation is now beginning to stabilise”, explains Susanne Rauberger, Exhibition Director of Fastener Fair Hannover, on behalf of the organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “Most companies in the fastener and fixing industry are optimistic about 2014. Challenges facing the industry are the fierce competition across all markets in the world, increasing environmental awareness and rising energy costs. Innovation is the key technology driver in the industry. Furthermore, processes are streamlined in order to increase quality and reduce costs. The industry is undertaking new investments again, developing new products and improving services offered to their clients; we will get an impression of this here at Fastener Fair Hannover”, adds Susanne Rauberger. For the first time, Fastener Fair Hannover offers distributors and wholesalers a distributors’ lounge with free Wi-Fi access in the exhibition hall; an opportunity for networking and to exchange ideas with other industry professionals in a relaxed atmosphere.
