Since 1980 Defremm has specialised in cold forming production from carbon steel, aluminium alloy, copper, brass and stainless steel wire, winning a reputation for its precision quality and customer service. Located in the north of Italy, Defremm manufactures special parts to customer drawings for a range of applications, including the automotive industry and household appliances, as well fittings for plumbing and sports equipment. The company also produces standard fasteners including rivet nuts and blind rivets. Manufacturing is carried out on a wide range of horizontal heading machines with from 2 to 6 stations. To meet increasingly complex customer requirements Defremm is continually investing in advanced machinery for recovery, threading, punching, turning, assembly and optical control selection. Defremm’s experienced team carries out technical and feasibility studies to co-design products with clients using the latest generation 3D software – Autodesk Inventor 2013. They then design and build tooling on site to manufacture initial samples and begin standardised production. The company has a new interactive website where you can download its updated catalogue and see its production range. With a view to expanding our market Defremm will also be present at the Fastener Fair Russia 2013 in St. Petersburg, March 12th – 14th.

Der Produktionskreislauf unterzieht sich einer sorgfältigen Monitorüberwachung. Defremm investiert gerade in immer entwickelteren Maschinen für die Wiederherstellung das Gewinde, das Lochen, das Drechseln, den Zusammenbau.
Das sehr gewandte Team von Defremm hat technische und Machbarkeitsstudie durchgeführt, um Projekten mit dem Kunden umzusetzen; man verwendet die modernste 3D Software Autodesk Inventor 2013. Danach entwerfen sie und schaffen Werkzeuge an Ort und Stelle, um Anfangsmuster für eine Standardproduktion herzustellen. Die Firma verfügt über eine interaktive Website, wo man den neubearbeiteten Katalog herunterladen und die neue breite Produktionspalette prüfen kann.

New SPC-LAB Digital presented at Fastener Fair. Dimac will present the new generation of SPC-LAB Digital, a compact unit for the optical first-piece inspection and in-process SPC controls. SPC-LAB offers a high-resolution digital camera to capture the piece silhouette in a unique image where the complete part dimensions are instantaneously calculated, with the display of the out-of-tolerance dimensions and complete SPC report and charts. The main advantages offered by this system are: time saving for the manual measurements – less than one second to perform the complete dimensional control of your piece; non contact measurement, free from operator’s errors; high speed very complex dimensional controls in less than a second, not feasible with manual instruments; better accuracy compared to manual instruments; cost saving respect to periodical re-certification of a variety of manual instruments; complete statistic reports with measured data and SPC charts; networking and internet online-support from Dimac service. New at PSA: efficient coating system from Dörken MKS
DELTA-PROTEKT® KL 105 offers savings potential with regard to material use, time requirement and energy and will be included in PSA’s specification. Corrosion protection systems are required to provide higher and higher quality at lower coating thicknesses or with a reduction in the number of layers required. Because general cost pressures and subsequently falling margins amongst market participants call for joint efforts in the development of ever more efficient systems. Process costs in particular are becoming a focus of attention, as these make up by the far the largest cost factor in the coating process as a whole, at around 75 percent. With its DELTA-PROTEKT® KL 105 micro-layer corrosion protection system Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG, Herdecke, is presenting a solution at the Fastener Fair 2013 in Stuttgart that has been developed under precisely these requirements. The material is intended for the coating of screws and other fastening elements, offering secure protection against corrosion and low spread of coefficients of friction with just one product in two layers. For example, the coating of high-quality screws for use in the automotive industry can result in the realisation of considerable savings in material and time. Due to its efficiency and economy the material was awarded the German Material Efficiency Prize of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in 2006 and has now also succeeded in winning over many OEMs. For example, it has been approved by French car manufacturers PSA and Renault-Nissan, as well as Hyundai-Kia and Fiat for the coating of several fastening elements.

SecuFast® at the Fastener Fair 2013. Douwes International BV is Europe’s largest distributor of SecuFast® security fasteners. Our range includes the 6-Lobe Pin, Hex Pin, Pin Phillips, Snake Eyes®, One-Way and Cinstar® (5-Lobe Pin). All of them are available in machine screws and sheet metal screws. We mainly supply in A2 but we can also deliver in steel zinc. Recently we have added two new successful items to our range. First one is the SecuFast® Seclock security bolts and nuts. Available from M3 – M24, both in A2 and steel zinc. The Seclock bolts have a unique patented scroll design with left and right handed helical grooves. Secondly we have added the Non-Recess TRF® shear bolt. The TRF® can be fastened with a normal cross recess driver. Once a certain torque is reached, the hexagon head brakes of and removal of the bolts is impossible.
