For more than 50 years the German family run company GRAEWE has been manufacturing threaded parts and fasteners. GRAEWE’s machine park is made up of NC saws, thread rolling machines and CNC turning centres. It also includes fully automatic fabrication lines for threaded rods and studs.
The company also has a branch in Bosnia-Herzegovina (GRAEWE Tadiv) that produces socket and hexagon head screws on multi-station cold forging machines. GRIS DECOUPAGE is setting up operations in Germany with the acquisition from LISI AUTOMOTIVE of the company KNIPPING Umformtechnik based in Herscheid near Plettenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia. The new production site has been renamed GRIS UMFORMTECHNIK. Specialising in the manufacture of die-cut engineered parts using a progressive die-cutting technique complementary to GRIS DECOUPAGE’s own process, GRIS UMFORMTECHNIK counts among its major customers Volkswagen, Audi, Daimler, BMW, MAN and the gearbox producer ZF. It employs 50 people and makes an annual turnover of €10M. Already equipped with high-speed die-cutting and cold forming presses, the GRIS Group now offers its customers a wider range of engineered parts and mechanical components to customer specifications in medium and large runs. In addition to its strategic expansion into Germany, GRIS DECOUPAGE has also invested €10M in improving the productivity of its plant (new surface grinding unit, renewal of an automatic press) together with over €5M in a 1000 m2 building extension to accommodate a new ultra-high-power transfer press of 630 tonnes in December.

Dieses Unternehmen gehörte vorher zu Lisi Automotive. Die neue Produktionsstätte wurde zu GRIS UMFORMTECHNIK umbenannt. Sie ist auf die Fertigung von gestanzten technischen Bauelementen spezialisiert, wobei das Verfahren, die Folgeverbundfertigung, komplementär zu dem von GRIS DECOUPAGE ist. Die Firma zählt zu ihren größten Kunden Volkswagen, Audi, Daimler, BMW, MAN sowie den Hersteller von Antriebstechnik ZF. Sie beschäftigt 50 Mitarbeiter und verwirklicht 10 Millionen Euro Umsatz jährlich. Die GRIS GRUPPE, die bereits mit Pressen hohen Ausstoßes zum Stanzen und Kaltverformen ausgestattet ist, bietet ihren Kunden nun mehr eine erweiterte Palette an technischen Fixierelementen und mechanischen Bauteilen nach Kundenplan in mittleren und großen Serien. Neben seiner Entwicklungsstrategie in Deutschland hat das Unternehmen GRIS DECOUPAGE 10 Millionen Euro für die Verbesserung der Produktivität ihres Werks investiert (neue Einheit zur Feinbearbeitung, Erneuerung einer automatischen Presse) und mehr als 5 Miollionen Euro in die Vergrößerung eines Gebäudes um 1000 m2 investiert, das im Dezember eine neue Transferpresse mit hoher Leistung (von 630 Tonnen) aufnehmen wird.
