Fastener training is very popular lately.  In the Ohio area, many distributors have mentioned that they received invitations from Brighton Best to attend a fastener training course.  As I understand it, the class will take place five consecutive nights and go from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., so it should not interfere with an employees work schedule.  I do not really know what is in the curriculum but I’m pretty sure it will cover fastener basics and perhaps more.  The North Coast Fastener Association just held one of its largest meetings ever with over 160 signed up for the meeting.  The topic that night??  The Fastener Training Institute.  Carmen Vertullo and Salim Brahimi were the speakers and they spoke about the FTI as well as some fastener “cases” that they have been involved with including Salim’s work with the Bay Bridge failures.  The FTI has a long list of courses available and I’m sure you can find these on their website.  Again, this was a hugely popular and successful meeting and would indicate that fastener people do have interest in learning more about fasteners.
