GEORGE TOWN: Manufacturers of fasteners and plastic packaging materials in Malaysia expect a slower first quarter next year.
Fastener manufacturer Chinwell Holdings Bhd group director Tsai Chi-yun told StarBiz that due to the economic slowdown in Europe, customers now were buying according to their needs and did not stockpile.
“During normal times, our customers would buy 15% to 20% more than what they need,” she said.
