It has been over ten years since I last visited Paris. It was quite exciting for me to visit this cultural, architectural, historic, and fashionable city again. Paris is where the 4TH EFDA FASTENER DISTRIBUTION CONFERENCE was held. It took me one hour from the airport to Hotel Lutetia because of heavy traffic in the city. Despite the exhaustion from travelling, I did enjoy all the beautiful things along the way. Gorgeous historic buildings, leisurely pedestrians, smiling tourists laden with shopping bags, scooters moving through traffic, and a variety of stores. It seems to me that Paris is still doing quite well. The economic crisis in the Euro area doesn’t seem to have touched this fashionable city.EFDA includes five member associations (ADEFI, BAFD, UDIB, FDS, PRISMEFIX). This three-day meeting was organized by France PRISMEFIX and held at the four-star contemporary Art Deco Hotel, Hotel Lutetia, which was built in 1910 and is also the largest hotel on the Left Bank in Paris. In total 118 people, including delegates from NFDA and TFTA, attended this event. Here are the outlines of the major activities and speeches delivered during the meeting:
