MEDIA SPOTLIGHT – Packer Fastener & Supply Inc. commissioned a 3.5-ton, 10-foot tall hex nut for outside of its new Wisconsin headquarters, and the nut may be the world’s largest.Distributor Terry Albrecht said the Guinness Book of World Records currently does not have a category for the world’s largest nut. “But they’re willing to open one up for us. It is indeed the world’s largest, but we don’t have the official Guinness stamp yet.”The nut, fabricated by Robinson Metals Inc., will be mounted at South Ashland Avenue and Lombardi Avenue in Green Bay. Albrecht founded Packer Fasteners in 1998 and the distributorship has grown from 10 employees to 40 plus has locations in Green Bay, Appleton, Milwaukee and Wausau. (…)
