Japan fastener imports in January of 2014 jumped 21.6 percent to 28,958 tons compared with the same month in 2012 and up 33.9 percent over the previous month.
The import value surged 40.5% year-on-year to 9,869.71 million yen in January, and up 29.5 percent month-on-month.
The main exporters of fasteners to Japan were Mainland China, China Taiwan and the U.S.
Fastener exports of Japan in January grew 5.2 percent to 24,649 tons but down 22.2 percent from the previous month.(…)
