I was reading the latest edition of LINK Magazine over the weekend and looking at all the pictures and skimming the articles when a name jumped out at me. Pictured on p. 158 was a 4th generation member of the Leitzke family, Rein Leitzke. When I saw the name I turned back to p. 50 to the beginning of the article and saw it was a story about Pivot Point. In my early days is this business, the company named Rein Leitzke Incorporated was still a prominent name in the pin market. The article said they were sold in the 1970’s and Rein (the founder, not the one pictured on p. 158)’s grandson, Rue Leitzke resurrected the family fastener business in 1982 under the name Pivot Point Incorporated. I don’t know why I think it is cool that there is still a Rein Leitzke out there selling pins, but I do. (…)
