Posted by Traveling Salesman at 3/9/2014 9:19 AM Categories: uncategorizedI was watching some Saturday morning news show yesterday and they asked the question whether or not a person could turn off their cell phone for 24 hours.  No cell phone calls, texts or emails over your phone for 24 hours.  I remember a couple years ago when my son was at college and his phone broke.  He called us on his roommate’s phone and said if we needed to reach him to use that number until he could get his fixed.  After he got his fixed he told me and my wife it was actually one of the more peaceful periods of time he had experienced.  He did not glance at his phone every few minutes or get non-stop texts.  I found it funny that even a 20 year old would enjoy some peace and quiet from the hectic phone world.  Then there’s my daughter who has two cell phones, one for work and her personal one.  She doesn’t want to give her personal number to all her work contacts so she has to maintain two.  I’m sure some of you out there have more than one you use.(…)
