Been reading the industry news lately and there are a few interesting news stories but nothing that is causing a buzz in the industry. I think most people are just trying to get the year jump started and are busy with business as usual. At least that is what I am seeing.
There is some talk that import prices might be going up mostly because the dollar is so weak right now. But the discussions on this subject are kind of uncertain. A lot of people watching and waiting to see what develops more than anything.
According to what I have read, I would say that most people expect 2011 to be “OK” with some growth but nothing record breaking. 2012 seems like it might be the stronger year. And, even with that I know that there are certain parts of the territory I cover that are much stronger than others. Even within the same state the general economic climate can be substantially different….
