According to data from Ministry of Finance Japan, Japan’s fastener imports (HS: 7317~7318, 7415—screws, bolts, nuts, washers, nails, rivets) in volumes rose 10.8 percent from 279,800 tons in 2010 to 313,000 tons in 2011. The import value increased 11.7 percent from 73.74 billion yen in 2010 to 81.90 billion yen in 2011.
